Thank you to everyone who attended our services over the Easter period: Compline during the week, then the Good Friday service followed by the climax of the dawn service on Easter Day and then the 1100 family communion. Thank you especially to Kate who provided a wonderful breakfast in church for us all after the dawn service.
On 29 March we formally welcomed Rev Chris Hancock as Associate Priest in the Benefice when he was licensed by the Bishop of Basingstoke at a special service at St Michael and All Angels’ Highclere. He had previously delivered a series of three Lent addresses and we are delighted that he and his wife Suzie have decided to join us. His recruitment and appointment are the result of much hard work by Canon Christine, the Bishop and his team. We welcome Chris and Suzie and hope they will be very happy here.
In less than three weeks’ time we shall be celebrating the coronation of King Charles III.
