Thank you to everyone who attended the Act of Remembrance in East End on Sunday. We were lucky with the weather and, led by Christine, the service was a fitting tribute to all those in East Woodhay and Woolton Hill who lost their lives in two world wars and whose names were read out by some of those attending, including children from St Martin’s School. Special thanks are due to Tim Cross, of the East Woodhay Silver Band, who once again sounded the Last Post before the period of silence which he then ended with the Reveille. A big thank you also to the Chipchase family for providing excellent mulled wine and sausage rolls after the service.
