A lot has happened so far this month. October started with Harvest Evensong, the church looking great, decorated with the wonderful flowers prepared by our fantastic team.
Then a week later Christine baptised the Chapman family's twin girls. It really was a lovely service. The girls were beautifully behaved and it was great to be joined by all their family members. Immediately afterwards churchwarden Andrew Colville hosted a drinks party for everyone involved in the running of the church. Helped by beautiful weather this was a very enjoyable occasion, which you can experience by watching Andrew's speech. Thank you, Andrew and Elaine!
Then last week we learnt that our wonderful Rector, Christine, is to become an Honorary Canon of Winchester Cathedral. This is very well deserved and will take effect on Sunday 26th November at the service of collation and installation at the Cathedral, to which we are all invited. So if you would like to attend please let us know.
