Kate Macoboy and Robert Meunier have just released Michelangelo’s Madrigal - a new album of singing and lute music that was recorded at the church.

They are hugely enthusiastic about the church as a recording venue and Robert tells us that...

St. Martin’s has one of the best acoustics in the country for realising the intimacy of our music. The church has a relatively short reverberation time, similar to the rooms where our music was performed historically, and it’s allowed us to achieve an authenticity not possible in the deliberately neutral acoustics of today’s typical recording studios.
