It is now three months since the start of the lockdown period during which time we have had to close the church although we are able to reopen between 2 and 4pm each Sunday which is wonderful news.
Despite these restrictions, and thanks to the work of Christine and the Ministry Team, regular services have continued, via Zoom. This has been a learning experience for all of us but has meant that, together with our friends from the other four churches in the Benefice, we have still been able to journey through Holy Week, Easter, Ascension, Pentecost and now Trinity.
Sadly the annual St Martin’s Guild fete had to be cancelled but the team plan to hold a Harvest Fete at the East Woodhay Village Hall on 10th October and the wonderful Sarah Porter continues to provide plants for sale from her house. Please contact us for details.
Our Annual Parish Church Meeting also had to be cancelled which means that the Churchwardens and PCC members remain in office at least until we are able to hold the meeting.
